Introducing Verified Dealers & Verified Sellers on iGo

To build maximum trust across Sri Lanka, we have launched Dual OTP verification. Look for the Green Checkmark and Orange Dealer badges on profiles!

Building trust in an online marketplace is our top priority. That is why iGo Sri Lanka has officially launched Dual OTP Verification to introduce our new Verified Seller and Official Dealer programs.

Why We Introduced Verification

In a fast-moving marketplace, knowing exactly who you are dealing with is crucial. Over the past year, we have listened to feedback from thousands of buyers and sellers across Colombo, Kandy, Galle, and beyond. The consensus was clear: you want a safer, more transparent environment to buy and sell high-value items like vehicles, electronics, and property.

Our new Dual OTP (One-Time Password) Verification system ensures that every user who claims a verification badge has authenticated both their primary mobile number and email address. For businesses, we take it a step further by verifying Business Registration (BR) documents.

What the Badges Mean

The Green Checkmark (Verified Seller): This indicates an independent, private seller who has successfully completed the Dual OTP process. When you see this badge, you know the seller is easily contactable and holds a legitimate Sri Lankan phone number.
The Orange Badge (Verified Dealer): This is reserved for professional sellers and registered businesses. Dealers undergo a more rigorous onboarding process, making them the safest option when purchasing vehicles, wholesale electronics, or real estate.

How to Apply?

Getting verified is completely free for private users! Simply navigate to your profile dashboard, click on 'Verification', and follow the SMS and Email prompts. Verified accounts receive an algorithm boost, giving your listings up to 3x more visibility on the iGo homepage.
