Massive SEO Overhaul: Sell Faster Than Ever
All iGo listings now feature dynamic, keyword-rich SEO URLs. Your ads will now rank significantly higher on Google Search across Sri Lanka.
We are thrilled to announce a major upgrade to the iGo platform architecture. We have successfully rolled out SEO-Friendly URLs for all listings.
What does this mean for you?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving a website to increase its visibility on search engines like Google. Previously, when you posted an ad on iGo, its web address looked something like this: /listing/10452.
While functional, this didn't tell Google what the page was about. Starting today, that same ad will have a URL like this: /listing/10452/toyota-corolla-121-for-sale-in-colombo.
The Benefits
- Faster Indexing: Google's bots can now immediately understand the content of your listing just by reading the link.
- Higher Rankings: When a buyer in Sri Lanka searches for 'Toyota Corolla 121 Colombo', your ad has a significantly higher chance of appearing on the first page of Google.
- More External Traffic: This means you aren't just relying on buyers already browsing iGo; you are now attracting buyers straight from Google search results!
Do you need to do anything? No! This update is completely automatic and applies retroactively to all existing ads on the platform. Just continue writing great, descriptive titles for your items, and our system will handle the rest.
